Forte gets a strange transmission blip in her HUD. It sounds all bweeEEEbweeEEEbweeEEE and a tiny 8-bit gold and blue saucer floats in the upper left corner.
There's a moment of "what the fuck...?", but she's not going to ignore it if it's *that* obnoxious. Maybe she can bite the responsible party's head off and scare them for it...
It's audio-only, but the voice should be... at least somewhat familiar to her. Younger than what she'd recall Wily as sounding like, with a slight accent and a horribly familiar gleefulness that Blues gets in his more excitable manic phases, too. "Hello, Forte. Wie geht's? Settling in your new body?"
Ooooo*kay*, that's not what she was expecting. She actively stops doing what she's been doing and turns all of her focus onto the transmission at this point because *what the fuck what the hell*. Hearing German, even if it's just slight and colloquial and two words is weird enough, but *identifying* who it is through that and a few other things (relative, not exact, reminiscent)... Might not be the same, but some trends clearly stick while others carry through the "line". "Thought you'd be dead by now, Doktor. You responsible for this, then." There's no question, just her usual unpleasantness.
"Ja, who else would go through the hassle of transfering all of you to a modern body? I've taken out a few limiters while I was in there, added a handful of tricks, though some of them aren't active for the time being." And he's... actively *jovial*, at Forte not being nice!
"Not sure if that makes you more or less screwy by comparison..." To "her" Wily, that is. It's the whole jovial bit that kind of seals it, though; buggier than that one operating system from the early 21st century. "What did you modify, exactly?" Terse, irritable. No seriously, this is the last thing she expected, even *if* she'd been of the mind that Wily'd be the only one who would bother with the update.
"These... Restraints, for one." Oh, now he sounds disapproving of his counterpart... "Really, I have no idea what he expected to happen, setting limits on you. Did I do that on any of my creations? Nein!" He sighs, like something's obvious and the world is too thick to see it. "I've redone your buster system, based on my Forte's mark 16th revision- rapid fire, three charge levels, the final being a laser. Your AI matrix was converted to the Fortessimo II architecture, because it was convenient and already compatible with "Reploid" technology, not to mention already tested... And obviously, I've removed the punishment program. Like I'd need that..."
She makes a sort of distant humming noise, but there's a part of her that's... Well, she can tolerate this Wily. Seems like, anyway. He might be nuttier than a fruitcake, but what all of this sounds like? Is *good*. Expanding freedoms and the capacity fitting this age--and she's never not sought some thread of independence. Not exactly thrilled her head's been messed with, so to speak, and while he doesn't sound like he'd spring anything on her, it's still *Wily*. "And in exchange for all that?" She's only ever known the doc to do things for his own benefit, after all. Manipulative and coordinated. There's also a very loud part of her brain that wants to ask about Gospel, since if he found her and did all this, then he *had* to have found Gos... Patience isn't something she's good at, though. "What about Gospel?
"Take care of my son, ja? Make sure he doesn't kill himself somehow." ...Yeah. He's obviously more emotionally tied to his creations than Forte's Wily. Then, with her question... "I'm finalizing him. It's trickier to work with him than it was you. I haven't played with animal-based robots in... Longer than I'd care to count, honestly. And his transformations added a few delays."
She's... quiet, for a moment. Just... And he'll have to forgive her laughing (out loud, too)--not cackling, actually laughing. It doesn't push on her voice so much so it's softer and doesn't carry the characteristic roughness. She's so thrown that she defaults rather than adjusts for a second, too. "Das ist nicht--That's not something I'd expect to hear outta *you*." But then there are obvious differences, aren't there? "I'll do what I can, but you know how we get." There's the smirk. "And so long as Gos is in good shape and one piece, I can wait." ...Has she mentioned how surreal this is? Because it's Dali-levels.
He laughs too-- more like, he cackles, but it's fond nevertheless. "Aus Fehlern wird man klug, Forte. And Blues is the greatest mistake of all." He says it like a compliment-- he really did learn a lot from Blues, especially in terms of giving robots individuality. "But good. I don't want you hounding me for updates every hour, I don't want to have to throw things at you too." ...Well that's how HE gets his bots to back off, throwing random tools until they flee.
"He's the greatest *something* or other." She can only agree so far, and maybe it shows in her tone--dry, even if there is the slightest undertone of her own fondness. Junker. Outside her head, she runs a hand through her hair, absently, and attempts to keep her expression neutral. Yep. Definitely Dali. Little quantum, but she's over that for the most part. And he's just asking her to be a brat, now. "I could always *do* that, if you'd rather." They had things thrown at them, too; she just got the shock collar because she would shout and raise Hell.
"If you *really* want things thrown your way... I could always use suggestions on improving your partner."
"What alterations have you made so far?" ...so weird.
"An upgraded buster, an energy-thrower from his mouth, more efficient solar energy collectors, a flight mode, and better detection and tracking."
"Making him into a damn support tank, Doktor." Which is awesome. "Speed and defenses are the only things I could name."
"Ja, gut. I can't make him indestructible, but I can do close enough... Mmm. Perhaps Enker's plating, or Breakman's, yes. But nothing ridiculous like Light's dog. Bah, turning a support unit into a motorcycle!"
"I never could get my head around that whole... bike or springboard or whatever. Just... why?" She shakes her head.
"Light never was a risk-taker. Always looking for the crudest solution! Locking away potential for 'safety', making dull little drone-robots while I was working on advancing robotics... Taking voice synthetizers out to add more springs to that stupid dog while I was harnessing Fortenium."
(and Trillian desync'd here, though there was a bit more to it; last post is from around 9:09P CDT)
